What exactly is this role??

Hi all,

Was recently contacted by a HH for a Distressed PE firm and this was the below role. The HH mentioned that it's a two year associate program and you rotate through the below three roles.
Has anyone seen a program that's similar to this before? I'm assuming it's not a traditional Investment Associate role?

Description:

The firm was founded in 2001 and now has about 125 professionals between NY/Connecticut, London, and Tokyo. They focus on taking majority stake positions into distressed companies and then prepare them for sale.  They're looking to grow their AUM to nearly $30bn in the next 18 months and with that, are looking to hire a few folks at your level into an Associate program which gives you a ton of deep exposure across three of their core business units.

3 Core Business Units:

•             Investor Relations

•             Capital Markets

•             Sourcing

This is an opportunity to go very deep into the PE, Distressed Investing, and event driven investments space; to work directly with some of the top PE professionals in the world; work closely with the UK team & even work in the London offices on certain projects, and to shape the next step of your career.

The roles are highlighted quite clearly but yes, just to confirm this is not an investment role (although maybe for #3 you sit in the investment team but only look for new deals)

pretty sure this is SVP Global and yeah, that's not an investment role.
