Where to find PE / Infra Cases?

Gonna keep this brief, but looking to find additional PE / Infra cases to practice on for on-cycle - especially Energy/Power (O&G, renewables, etc)  if anyone has anything. Happy to pay if that's what it takes these days.

For PE/Infra case studies, especially focused on Energy/Power (O&G, renewables, etc.), here are some actionable suggestions based on the most helpful WSO content:

  1. WSO Forums and Threads:

    • The PE Case Study Repository thread on WSO is a great starting point. Users have shared resources and modeling exercises, and some have suggested creating a shared repository for PE resources. You can check this thread and connect with members who might share materials directly.
    • Many users on WSO offer to share case studies or modeling tests via PM. While it might take some effort, reaching out to active contributors in relevant threads can yield results.
  2. Modeling Tests from Interviews:

    • According to WSO threads, many PE/Infra funds require candidates to complete modeling tests during recruitment. Practicing these tests is one of the best ways to prepare. Some users have even created their own tests for recruitment purposes and are willing to share them.
  3. External Resources:

    • Websites like EDHEC Infra and F1F9 offer free e-books and resources on project finance and model optimization. These can be particularly useful for building your technical skills.
    • Look into Meketa's Infra 101 white paper or investment theses published by infra funds like JP Morgan or John Hancock for additional insights.
  4. Networking with Professionals:

    • Reach out to professionals in the space via LinkedIn or WSO Mentors. Many are open to sharing materials or guiding you toward resources.
  5. Paid Resources:

    • If you're willing to pay, platforms like WSO Academy or other financial modeling courses often include case studies and exercises tailored to PE/Infra.
  6. Energy/Power-Specific Cases:

    • Focus on deals like individual asset sales, portfolio sales, or IPOs in the energy sector. Examples include LS Power's acquisition of TransCanada's generation portfolio or SunRun's IPO. These types of transactions are often discussed in WSO threads and can provide a framework for case study practice.

If you're looking for something specific, feel free to ask, and I can help narrow it down further!
