Family offices are tough. There is no single database that I have found in my 20 years of marketing to family offices, that is all that great. Preqin when it comes to family offices is rubbish. The only database that I found to be reasonably decent was Dakota. They are more up-to-date than frequent for sure and includes about 500 family offices if I recall correctly. However, you will find when marketing to these SFO‘s that they mostly work by recommendation only. Hope this helps

If you are really interested in family offices, networking is your best bet. Many are incredibly secretive for obvious reasons. Very few have websites or will have any public profile.
OP here, any advice on where the best networking events? Conferences, forum, etc?
Thanks in advance!
