1st day as a SA
My first day is this upcoming Monday. Should I wear a suit on the 1st day even if I got an email saying the office is more casual?

Yes wear a suit for your first day, then you'll see
IMO this is bad advice. If you know 100% that everybody else is going to be dressed business casual, it will be awkward to show up day 1 in a (probably ill-fitting) suit.
Guy in my class wore a tie to our first zoom meeting at our SA gig. Founder told everyone directly that we don’t need ties, just business casual. You should have gotten an email telling you what the dress code looks like.
