Advice regarding first Analyst position out of UG

Fellow Monkeys,

Currently debating between fulltime offers, I have one at Trigate Capital in Dallas doing Acquisitions, and the other at TA realty in acquisitions. I would love to hear insight from anyone regarding both firms or just career advice in general.

I appreciate any insight

How do their strategies differ? Does one’s strategy better align with your long term goals? How big is the difference in the size of the teams and will one provide you more exposure than the other? Are they both in the same city , which city do you want to be in?

I don’t know too much about either firm but if the teams are in different cities I’d start with looking at where you’d rather live. Some people may disagree but as someone who graduated recently, location matters so much, even if the role isn’t 100% perfect. Even if you learn a bit more at one place than the other, it’s worth considering which market you want to be in long term, too. Network is huge (obviously) so it can’t hurt to think of location as a major factor. They’re both in acquisitions so you’ll be around the same stuff even if you don’t have an exactly identical role in both places.
