A&E Real Estate --- Know anything?
A&E Real Estate --- Know anything? Had a phone interview today for their NYC office. Seems small-ish (200 headcount) and not a ton of info online. Person I spoke with said the founders like to be as private as possible. Barely anything on The Real Deal.
Aside from potentially joining, how does that bode for exit ops? I'm sure if they are a respected shop people would recognize the name?
Not sure on what the culture is like to work there, but I definitely know they are relatively well known in the NYC area.
I have a former colleague who currently works there. Very active in multifamily in the outer boroughs for the most part but have some Manhattan holdings (if I remember correctly). The capital source is basically a family office but they partner with large LPs and act as a GP/owner.
PM me for more info.
It's owned by John Arrilaga Jr., the son of one of Silicon Valley's largest landowners (and Stanford University's single largest donor), and Douglas Eisenberg, who's family started Urban American Management. As Mandarin said super active in outer borough multifamily.
Awesome. Thanks for the insight all. The person I spoke with eluded to them wanting to be super private, but I just wanted to make sure they had been heard of.
They're legit.
