Affordable Housing Development/Acquisitions
I'm trying to evaluate a development and acquisitions position at an affordable housing firm. I currently work in acquisitions for conventional multifamily and we don't touch affordable shit. A affordable housing GP that owns about 12k units contacted me about a development/acquisitions role. Can anybody shed any light here on the position and money to be made? I just haven't heard of any big developers that are in the affordable housing industry lol
One firm that was founded and built around affordable housing is a firm you may have heard of called Related
Damn, I didn't know this. Just looked it up and they own a good amount and develop affordable units. Good to know.
