I started my career at PNC's agency lending group. The people are great and the work life balance is very reasonable. Will there be times when you have to work later when a deal is getting sideways, yes of course. However, on average it's an 8-5 work schedule. I can't comment on comp, but as PNC is massive bank it's pretty competitive with comparable positions. Like any big companies there are some great co-workers and some co-workers who don't pull their weight, but that's the case anywhere. You will see a ton of volume with some great sponsors. PNC does a decent job providing upward mobility and often try to give their employees exposure to originations, asset/portfolio management, and underwriting as they advance in their career. They like to have everyone cut their teeth in underwriting. It's a good position, you're not making MF money, but the lifestyle will be way better.
