Yes they have revamped their team. Know someone who has been there a few years and seems to like it. They have been doing a lot of multifamily development.
As Jim1234 said, definitely depends what division. But if acquisitions, focus is more on core real estate - so not value add or opportunistic so generally less creative business plans. Life companies will JV with GPs so less hands on and less knees deep in the actual real estate and markets.
