They have a great reputation in Houston. Hours can be long, from what I've heard, and you'll be put to work, but after 2-3 years, you'll have solid exit opportunities. I've seen someone jump from Lionstone to KKR, and a few people start their own shops after 3-5 years. Not a ton of internal growth opportunities, but might be some depending on if others leave - don't expect to get past the VP level though. 

They focus on using analytics to understand deals, and really being the smartest people in the room - always aware of every detail, and thinking through a ton of scenarios before they even happen. Don't really know about culture though.
