Hi all,
Does anyone have insights on Wafra, the $25bn NY-based fund backed by a large Kuwaiti pension fund? They seem to have a growing real estate and real assets investment group, but I can't find info around culture, rep, comp, etc.

Wafra would be considered a sovereign wealth fund, essentially the investment mngt arm of the Kuwait Investment Authority. I don't know much about them personally, but have had a few friends work for ADIA, and they like it (made lots of $$$).
In general, gigs at SWFs can be pretty sweet all around (and not easy to get).
SWF
Owned by the Kuwaiti social security system. You spend your days spending all that sweet, sweet oil money. Unlike ADIA, they don't require you to move to the middle east. A friend of mine works there, and while there is a roughly ~20% comp hit from your megafund REPE shops, lifestyle is SO much better.
Anyone know the difference between Wafra and Wafra Capital Partners? Looks like Wafra Capital Partners have been in the news lately because of the Coca Cola building with nightingale, but Wafra also does a bunch of real estate...

No, but looking over linkedin profiles Wafra seems to be much more institutional than Wafra Capital Partners.
