Any tips for writing a cover letter for an entry level real estate analyst position?

I am going to start applying to jobs as an analyst for real estate companies. I really like doing modeling in excel, and while I took the few real estate courses offered by my finance major, I learned most of my modeling skills using online resources like ACRE, as well as talking to industry professionals.

I've done an internship in property management but I am really more interested in the modeling side of things. Any tips for how to write a good cover letter?

Also, if anyone would want to share a successful cover letter that they wrote, that would help a lot!

If you're applying at more regional, boutique investment/development firms, the successful cover letters that I've written were based on research of the company's assets (website and visiting the properties), and then crafting a narrative about how you respect their development process, appreciate their dedication to the community, and how you would enjoy to be a part of their team. Showing that you've done your homework on the mission/morals of the company speaks volumes to the managers hiring.

I'm in Texas though, so this might not apply to an application for a job in NYC...
