Anyone else think they are not going to get promoted because of current environment?

Wondering if anyone is dealing with potentially being slow played on promotion this year and how you’re handling it. Boss has been dodgey when I've asked, which sucks because they’ve only spoken very highly of my performance thus far. The timeline I was pitched on when I took the job would put promotion this year

Shoutout to all the people who are about to tell me to be thankful I have a job at all.

Happy to have a job in this environment....

In a similar boat, had my semi-annual review 3 weeks ago and was told (obviously if performance is status quo) I'd be promoted to senior analyst at YE. However, judging by this past year's reviews, many only received title change and maybe 6-8% bump even after such a large jump in responsibilities, etc. that go along with new title. Hands are somewhat tied unless things pickup soon. GL OP
