Looking to break into development and came across this firm Edgemoor. Looks to be the in house developer for Clark Construction based out of DC.
they’ve done some pretty big deals, but mainly in infra/public developments. Solid team too judging from LinkedIn.
Anyone have any experience? Would it be a good firm to start at if I’m looking to get into development?

I live in DC also and got the chance to talk to an Edgemoor guy (was at Clark before getting his MBA) at a ULI HH. he noted that you need to have your MBA to go there - there’s no other way in. He noted that it’s a good group and that he loves it.
Good shop but purely infrastructure. Most (maybe all?) of what they do is 3rd party management / fee development.
Would it be difficult to transfer into different asset types if you started at edgemoor?
I mean at the junior level in general it's not too hard to move around.. but yes, if I was interviewing I would take the guy with asset level development reps over a guy from Edgemoor, all else equal.
