Appropriate Billing Rate for Freelance Financial Modeling?
Hi all,
Looking to get your take on how much is standard/market to charge for a custom development (ground-up new construction) financial model / proforma analysis?
For context: I've been approached by a small operator/developer who doesn't have the staff for this type of work, so he's asked me to do some analyses (and potentially some initial project management...as much as I can do without sacrificing anything with my actual development job). I am a developer at a national mixed-use apartment firm, but I've never billed/priced this type of work as it's always been done in-house. Trying to get a gauge on what would I should charge.
Any perspective is greatly appreciated! Thanks
Take your annual comp and convert it to hourly…obviously add % to make up for taxes to get what you feel is worth your time…
100-125 an hour. not worth it for anything less.
Thank you. This is in the ballpark of what I was thinking.
Did you have a prior relationship with this company? This could be a sold side gig if you could devote 10-15 hours a week.
