Argus Enterprise Reports
Hey guys, Did a quick search but couldn't find any threads about Argus AE reports. I learned Argus on DCF but my new firm uses AE since Argus no longer sells/supports DCF. This blows not only because of all of the nuanced changes in AE itself (new/fewer keyboard shortcuts, input windows, etc), but more importantly because the AE excel reports are full of merged cells and other bullshit formatting that blow up my vlookups/index matches when I try to drop them in our models.
I'm wondering if you guys have any suggestions on either how to get the DCF-like reports that everyone here is used to, how to build basic reports to export data in a simple format (which actually may be better), or how you deal with these exports in your models to get models to pick up your assumptions. I'm most concerned with cash flows, MLAs and rent rolls, but suggestions on the other report outputs are also welcome.
Thanks in advance.
Not why you are looking for, but maybe build a macro to make them more digestible.
2 real options, XL4ADW or SSRS.
Can you please let me know what SSRS is?
Thanks @Hbmonkey9"@justn423" +1 for each of you. Was worried that was going to be the answer... trying to navigate SRSS seems like a lot just to run a few reports, @justn423" do you have experience with XL4ADW? Is it difficult to figure out/use?
I've got some good experience with the program, feel free to PM with questions. It's not difficult so long as you know how the database is mapped. Looks like a "results sheet" with the right KPI's & tenant results is what you need.
Would like to learn more about this. Used to work with data, so if I can tap into raw data and create data exports that would be sweet. Haven't gotten that deep into the program yet.
Ctrl+A --> Unmerge Cells
Personally, I just designed my models around the new format and just copy and drop in the values.
