Ark Capital Advisors (WeWork) Thoughts?
Thoughts/Opinions/News on the firm?
Pros I can think of:
- High-quality MD (Rich Gomel)
- Partnerships with Ivanhoe Cambridge and Rhone Group
- approx. $3 B in equity commitments
- Just sold the Lord and Taylor Building to Amazon for $1.15 B
Cons:
- WeWork...
From the job posting:

Who is Rich Gomel and why is he a high quality MD?
Used to be a managing partner at Junius Real Estate Partner (REPE firm with a JPM partnership)
WeWork is dead in the water. They have already reached out within the last few days to renegotiate leases with several landlords. They must either have or be forecasting liquidity issues. One landlord told them to pound sand.
