Asking for a raise 6 months in - hours have been brutal
Hi guys, I was brought on to a top tier lender with 1 yr of experience at a base of 95k. My hours have averaged 8-9pm every day with Sat and Sunday off except for the occasional email.
After asking around, people in AM work less (leave at 3pm every day) and are making same base. Should I bring this up to my boss and ask for a higher salary? For context, as of today we are close to hitting +1.5Bn in lending across all asset classes. Our team is 4 people total.
I guess if people at your level in other firms are making the same amount with less hours than you could bring that up, but honesty 12 hour days are pretty normal for analysts in RE finance
Those are pretty standard hours for analysts, especially if this is a T1 lender.
Comp sees pretty fair for hours worked too.
