Asset Management on the Lender Side

Hi,

I currently work at a large bank and am trying to get into underwriting; unfortunately, the company I work for won't really higher underwriters who don't have any experience. However, I have been interviewing for an asset management position. It seems like a lot of the work is annual reviews, market research, covenants, modification requests, updating argus, etc. I'm currently working in FP&A on the OPEX side (and am pretty bored) and am trying to get a better picture of what the work is like and if the change would be worth it. I think after two years I would probably be able to move into the UW side.
