Asset Values - Historical data?
Could anyone point me in the right direction for finding historical, national level asset value data? Specifically, I am looking for how multifamily values changed during the recession. Is anyone aware of any reports available that would have this information?
NCREIF Costar Real Capital Analytics CBRE EA MSCI IPD NAREIT
Can you identify which of those are free and which you have to pay for?
NAREIT is free, put is reit prices, not asset prices.
You can get NCREIF for free if you are a researcher at a university.
Everything else costs money, no one is giving their data away for free.
Trepp is also another good resource for the debt side of things. They have CRE data as well. But they are not free
