ATX Acquisitions

Anyone heard of these guys? I just got a job offer. Looks like they're actually making some acquisitions, though not big ones. Appears to be a new fund, and like the more I look into their background the weirder things get. Anyone dealt with them? Worked for them?

Yeah I think I've heard of them. They specialize in escalating leverage tactics actually. They are well known for not paying debt service in order to force lenders to the table or they pay the debt service but let vendors file materialmens liens. Sometimes they just straight up throw the Owner SPV into Chapter 11. Pretty effective tactics. On a couple occasions I've heard that they were able to convince lenders to sell them their notes below par. And these are only the tactics I've heard of. I'm sure they have a lot more up their sleeve. Overall very innovative and creative group. I think you could learn a lot by working for them

no, directly contacted by the company

So... a company reached out to you directly to offer you a job, no recruiter, no application on your part, no nothing?  Just a cold call being like "Hey DomDiMello, we saw your LinkedIn profile and thought you'd be a good fit"?

I mean, if that is the scenario, does this actually require you asking advice as to whether this is a legit fund?  And if you did reach out to them or otherwise initiate contact, how is it you don't know more about the company?  Either way, even asking this question reflects poorly on you...
