Benedict Canyon Equities / Truamerica Multifamily?
Can anyone share some insights about these two shops? Looks like very solid multifamily shops but would love to hear more about the comps, hours, and culture. Are there any other solid shops specialize in multifamily value-add in LA?

There is a lot of crossover between the firms but generally BCE focuses on smaller multi deals with heavier physical repositions or more tertiary MSAs/submarkets. TruAmerica does larger multi deals in more institutional markets. Both firms are well known and highly respected.
Not sure about the first one but TruAmerica on the east coast has been on a tear lately, snatching up a ton of large MF properties in the southeast. I've heard from friends that they have a good culture, very work-hard play-hard. Young too. Can't speak to their LA group though.
