Benefit Street Partners - CRE Originations Analyst
Does anyone have any information on the comp for an analyst in the CRE Originations group for Benefit Street Partners Realty Trust (REIT subsidiary of BSP)? I am trying to pivot from a consulting position to CRE, so am curious to know if anyone has details on this firm in terms of compensation, culture, hours, etc. Any information is helpful!
I should mention this position is for New York
friend recently got an offer for their debt fund origination team and turned it down, was 100 base with 40 bonus (not sure how similar this would be)
Was this for the analyst position?
Yes-he did have 2 years experience but not sure if he was labeled Analyst 1/2/3 or if that even do that.
I used to work for a shop that had a close relationship with BSP. They were pretty sharp but always gave us shit pricing so we could never get a bid on CMBS deals. Although I think that's cause they secretly would gun for the same deals and have better pricing without an additional fee.
That said, if you chose to work there, you will learn a lot and will see a lot of deals. Would be a solid start if you're transitioning from consulting.
