Best Asset Class for Long Term Financing during High Interest Rate Environment
The title says it all. What do you think is the best asset class during this period of high-interest rates in the long term? Do you think in a recessionary environment there are great opportunities? Infill mixed-use development? Retail acquisition? Multifamily development?
Answering this question without more information would be wildly misleading. As a whole, commercial real estate in the US has performed very well over the last 50 years. Giving a more granular answer would depend on the specific market or submarket you are looking at and the local supply and demand in that area.
