Best Atlanta Real Estate Associations

Does anyone know what the best Atlanta real estate associations are to join in terms of networking? I am just about to move there for a job and am looking to build connections and meet some folks.

Not sure about Atlanta specifically, but if they have a ULI chapter there, be sure to check it out. My local chapter is really active and has a great blend of people in it, I'm sure the Atlanta chapter would be similar.

Sure, see below for young people:

For real estate focused groups:

  • ULI (YLG is really solid; do the mentor program)
  • NAIOP (for non-multifamily folks)
  • YREP (regular happy hours and a good scene)
  • NMHC (for multifamily; they do an Emerging Leaders event in Atlanta every year generally)
  • There is a multifamily gathering/happy hour that happens quarterly or so that gets a really good crowd

Atlanta real estate can still be pretty insular and there are some other drinking club / pre-country club type things where there are a lot of CRE people that are 25-35 that are somewhat exclusive, just a heads up. That said, the groups above are great and really diverse and I don't think you'll go wrong with any of them.

Hope that helps. CRE let me know if the cool kids are doing something different these days.

Nah you crushed it. Hope you're doing well.

CREguy, I'm active in ULI and AYMP (the fifth that Count_Chocula mentioned). Happy to grab coffee or something too whenever you get going.
