Best Way to Pull Historical Financials Into Pro Forma?

Lately have been updating a ton of carrying models that need up to date historical financials in the pro forma for historical look back purposes and clarity when changing growth assumptions. Other than manually getting t12s sheets and then linking to pro forma sheet, does anyone do it differently? Maybe a nested xlookup function of some sorts? Has become very time consuming to manually aggregate t12 line items with pro forma line items. Any ideas is appreciated or would just love to hear how any of you guys do it in your models.
