BlackRock is very prestigious, so an analyst spot would clearly be a great placement and difficult to get.
Both. Just want to see if anyone here has experience in their RE lending/acquisition teams - I’m trying to land an internship on their RE team for summer 2021 but there isn’t a lot of information out there
is this a generalist team where everyone works on real assets or separate teams work on real estate/infra/energy?
I have the impression that the teams are still specialized, the 'real assets' name is more for marketing and sales purposes. At least the couple of people I know there only work on RE in very specialized formats, I don't think they like generalists from what I can tell.

Obviously a good brand name but their real estate group really doesn't do anything. Not a ton of capital, and got seriously hurt after the whole Stuytown disaster.
As a previous posted said, they keep it around for marketing (i.e., "we offer every kind of asset class").
I thought Stuytown disaster was Blackstone? Could be wrong.
