Books/places to find RE information for taxes, accounting and financial statements

I saw the megathread about RE books, I was looking for something a little more focused on how real estate investments would be recorded on the financial statements and the tax benefits/recording of those investments. Might be a little too focused for a single book, but if anyone has an idea or a place to start that would be very helpful.

Not really one book that is going to cover ALL CRE taxes in general. The problem is that taxes are accessed on a county by county basis, sometimes even partitioned by the municipality. For example, Montgomery County is going to access an asset differently (base year, reassessment etc) differently than Los Angeles County.
