Capital markets?
Hello Everyone, I am on the path to try and figure out where I should end up in the future, I think that capital markets is a great place to start. I have some questions that I wanted to know but I haven’t wanted to ask people on networking calls. I wanted to know what salary you can expect as a capital markets analyst and going forward at companies like CBRE, JLL/HFF, etc. (in locations like NYC, LA), what’s the difference between a capital markets analyst vs a capital markets sales associate (does the sales associate work purely on commission for example at CBRE?) Lastly, is there a huge difference between investment advisory within capital markets (like at HFF), and pure capital markets?
Totally team and market dependent. Some teams pay up, some don't. Some put associates on commissions, some keep them salaried.
RIP HFF
Can you provide ranges for what those scenarios look like?
Top tier IS team in top tier city: 1st yr analyst out of undergrad - 60-100K Analyst w/experience and/or MBA - 100-150K Associate level - typically a draw or salary of about $50-70K + commissions (small chunks)
