Capital Markets... Operations?
At least where I am in South East US, I'm seeing more and more jobs being posted again since they all dried up at the beginning of CV19. Many are in a capital markets group as a financial analyst, but I see some operation analyst or senior operations within capital markets as well. Any idea what those kind of roles entail? What about career path and pay? The descriptions are pretty vague, but they mention "reporting" and "research". Thoughts?
Operations roles are usually back office and it usually requires reporting, which sounds like the case for these roles. It's not a recommended first choice. Was there anything more specific that was said on the "research" portion of the job? Research could really mean anything.
