I haven't found much on the above... what do most people do before real estate NPL investing jobs? Investment banking? RE Structured Finance?

“Nick was fantastic. He didn’t just glance at my resume and give me generic advice—he explained exactly why it wasn’t telling the story I wanted it to tell, then helped me figure out how to fix it. He pushed me to be more intentional about how I talk about my experience and gave me concrete steps to prepare for interviews, from tailoring my resume to practicing financial modeling. I was in credit before I joined my firm. It took me 12 months to get a good grasp on how to price NPLs. The paths to recovery involve various different scenarios

thank you for your reply! What kind of credit role were you in? Primary markets & origination or sales, trading or research?

About pricing NPLs - yeah that makes complete sense. From what I have heard, pricing NPLs is all about which path an investor takes & whether that is successful or not. If it is, investor is in the money big time. If not, they could lose all their capital, or most of it anyway.
