Have some knowledge on this. Carlyle has a two-year associate program. You’ll learn a ton but definitely heavy hours. After the two years, you’ll have to go elsewhere. You should be able to find a role anywhere else with Carlyle on your resume.

NYC and DC both hire associates for acquisitions and asset management. To get hired for the DC office, you’ll have to be in DC. They used to be flexible on this but they are not anymore. NY office means you have to be in NY. To my knowledge, the NYC office is looking for an AM associate for 2023. NY ACQ associate role is for 2024. However, ACQ associates are exclusively recruited from the NYC investment banks. DC is looking to hire an ACQ associate for 2023.

Can I pm you? Or if you’d like to PM, I can go off of anonymous.

Do you know if the 2023 AM role is for January or Summer?

I just saw Carlyle post for a PW SA in NYC that has a focus on RE, so I'd have to assume there is some RE activity going on in their NY office. Someone else should confirm this though.
