CBRE Capital Markets Associate Program

Can anyone give insight into the CBRE Capital Markets Associate Program for middle market IS?

Is it basically a phone, a desk, and a “mentor” like M&M or is it very structured and a more institutional approach to middle market IS?

What does the pay structure look like?

What is the recruiting process for this program?

I wouldn't put M&M and CBRE in the same league. CBRE is in the major leagues (with JLL, Eastdil, CW, and NKF), depending on market, maybe number one (they actually dominate a lot of middle markets in IS). M&M is way down the chain, but can be competitive in middle markets with smaller, non-institutional deals.

Most people I know who start with CBRE are assigned to a team, given a base salary (may only be given for first two years or so) that is reasonable by market, and essentially the 'junior' for some group of 'seniors'. These tend to be really good jobs, but it can vary market by market (and property type too).

I don't know any more details on comp or recruiting, but seriously, do not compare the M&M stories with CBRE, worlds apart.
