CBRE Internship... what next?

Hi everyone, I recently finished up my freshman year at a target school and have been interning at CBRE this summer in the Occupier Advisory and Transaction Services group. The guy in my group that hired me on told me I can come back next summer in a greater role, possibly in the debt and equity side of their business.

My goal is to go into investment banking and then exit into a private equity mega fund, so any tips or suggestions as to what to do next summer? I was thinking maybe asset management or even IB or PE if possible, assuming I transition from the real estate position. Most of the sophomore programs seem to be geared toward diversity, which I am definitely not.

Thanks in advance!
