CBRE - Transaction Specialist v. Valuation Associate
Anyone familiar with these roles at CBRE? If long term goal is to work in acquisitions/development and acquire my own portfolio of multifamily and commercial assets, which role would be better? Which would have more modeling exposure? Better just to get my foot in the door in some capacity and go from there?
Background includes Finance undergrad and real estate accounting experience.
Idk about the transaction specialist role but the valuation associate position is appraisal.
Valuation will make you want to off yourself.
Source: Spent a year doing so.
Curious what is so bad about appraisal at a top brokerage shop?
Thanks that's the impression I get. I'll avoid at all costs. The transaction role sounds less mind numbing.
