Chicago Recomendations

Happy Monday monkey men.

West coast monkey who will be spending some time in Chicago this week. I have a completely open day Friday and would love to get in contact with some CRE professionals in the area. I work mainly in Industrial product types. I don't know the first thing about the market out there and would love suggestions of companies to reach out too. Thanks.

Big players in Chicago are Heitman, LaSalle, Walton Street, Harrison Street, Blue Vista, GreenCourte, PGIM (debt + equity team), Brookfield Properties. You have the Blackstone portfolio companies including Link Logistics (industrial). Sam Zells companies. Industrial-focused players I know include MB Real Estate (Murphy Real Estate Services) and Brennan Investment Group.

Referencing the principal side (also lots of family offices). I would say brokerage firms are weighted more towards JLL, CBRE, and Cushman. Eastdil has a Chicago office as well.
