Curious if anyone has any insider knowledge as to how they operate since management bought them from ING some years ago. I know that Legg Mason recently acquire majority interest, and from what I can gather they seem to be focused more on core-ish type assets. Any insight as to company culture, compensation respective to similar RE firms, etc?

compensation and culture are similar to other equity groups that are in the institutional bracket. Think Fortress, Heitman, Walton Street, etc.. Clarion has a few funds and vehicles ranging from core to opportunistic. From my understanding each asset type will be affiliated with a different strategy.
Their industrial team are players. Do a lot of deals here in CA.
