Coda Search|Staffing Group Legit?

Coda Search is constantly advertising new Acquisitions jobs with decently attractive compensation ranges on LinkedIn with the ability to Easy Apply. I’ve applied to 40+ of their listings that I feel I’m very qualified for and I haven’t received any interest from them. Are these listings legit? I’ve been hearing about the trend of ghost listings where companies are advertising fake positions for data collection purposes. Anyone see these listings and feel the same way? Maybe I’m just upset about not hearing back for any of those roles, but something smells fishy!

Cheers,

Just an FYI many firms don’t have an exclusive on the listing or a real iron in that fire. The hiring company will say “I want to hire this position,” and recruiting firms compete to place candidates from their candidate submissions (“Contingency Recruiters”). They don’t have a ton of skin in the game as a result. I suspect Coda is one of those. Then there are recruiting firms that have long lasting, exclusive relationships with companies and are paid on a retainer (“Retained Recruiters”). You want to talk to those folks. They generally have a good sense of what their client is looking for and can be a value add as a job seeker.

In a similar situation with them, have what I would think it’s a decent background and have applied to all their listings. Usually get a rejection message for most of the roles but actually had someone reach out about BGO/Macquarie, and then got ghosted.

The easy apply is just to farm resumes. The role probably doesn't exist and you can tell because the descriptions are almost always generic. You need to speak with someone to get the real roles.

That said, Coda ended up reaching out to me a few weeks ago after I used easy apply. They had a role with BGO and Macquarie like the other poster said (I don't know if they actually existed or if the call was a screening). Your resume probably needs some work or maybe you work for a no name firm they didn't hear of. Recruiters pick and choose who to send roles to. This other recruiter sent me a list of roles and one my friend got sent wasn't on it.
