Compensation range for development associate with arch background

I just finished a graduate degree in Real Estate Development at top 5 program. I have 4 years experience in architecture at a midsize development firm, and am looking to expand into development role at the firm. I'm looking for a compensation range I can request as I transition...I'm currently making around 70k with 10% bonus. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

You may be able to get a bump to 80K with a 10-15% bonus depending on the market and the firm (Comp varies wildly firm by firm) but I think where you are at 70K with a 10% bonus is a good assumption.

No you didn't. There is not any reputable ranking system of MSRE/MRED degrees. Don't fake this.

$70k with 10% isn't bad. I've seen anywhere from $60k/20% to $85k/25% right out of school. There are outliers of course, higher or lower, but that's a normal range.

There is this whole thread too: https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/what-is-your-compensation-in-rea…

Let’s be real here. Just because there isn’t any formal ranking of these programs doesn’t mean it’s comparing apples to apples. Op would carry much more weight coming from MIT than a more regional program like Hopkins.

Much weight in what?

Finding a job at a big name firm? Sure. Additional comp? Not necessarily.
