Coolest buy side roles

Imagine you don’t care at all about money or prestige. What would you consider just the coolest, whether that be fun or just an awesome experience, would you say is the most cool opportunity on the buy side of RE. This can totally include extremely niche things.

LP equity investors. Fly all over the country 10-20 times a year. Nice dinners. Fishing trips. Hunting trips. Golf trips. High fives from committee for pitching a pro forma 20% irr in an overbuilt sunbelt market.
Hard to beat.

two ways I interpret this

1: I find the true self made guys very “cool”. Some cowboy in them in terms of risk taking but they put their own cash on the line and have just hit on deals over and over and over. They are not in it for fees and volume. Cool because they are as real as it gets in an industry where people love to talk about what deals they might do or almost did or why deals don’t make sense and when they finally do find something that makes it through layers of committee they then fund it with OPM. Boring. So the local rich guys are way “cooler” if that makes sense.

2: would be curious what resort/luxury hotel people would say. Always thought they’d be cool to visit/diligence. Not sure how bad I’d want to own them though.

Being an executive at a pension fund who either invests directly or via funds, especially the larger ones. You'll be essentially treated like a god by everyone.
