CRE brokerage location.

Hi. I apologize if this question is too basic. I feel like I've found the perfect firm in an outer borough, where I live, with the most amazing people. However, they specialize in investment sales, outer borough... Whereas, my intention is Midtown Manhattan leasing, tenant rep. I feel like I could still conduct business on my own, in the way that I want... my question is, will clients value me as much, or be able to find me, if I'm associated with a firm that's not my specialty, and in a different borough?  I don't see it as a roadblock or preventative. But I could be sadly mistaken. Any words of advice, or insight, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
