Hi CRE community, I am currently a junior studying finance in the Baltimore area. I had an internship lined up with a top development firm but it was unfortunately cancelled. I have been scrambling to find an internship at a brokerage firm for this summer in the NYC area with no success due to the massive hiring freezes across the shops.
At this point it seems most reasonable that I can try to shoot for an internship during the fall semester at a brokerage firm in the Baltimore/DC area. Does CW/JLL/CBRE offer these off cycle internships or would I have to try to network my way in for them to take me on?
Also at the time being I'm taking the salesperson pre-licensing course for NYS but haven't had any other experience in the industry. Should I take any specific courses during the summer to increase my chances?
