I am transitioning from a commercial banking job to a debt and equity broker for a large firm. I curious what folks recommend for working their own database of existing clients. I believe my new company uses Salesforce which Ive heard is fine. But this leads me to the question of how do I protect my own client list from being poached? I assume if I ever were to leave it would be open for someone to to dial up my clients etc. I guess Im looking for some guidance on any suggestions on how to at least make my best attempt to protect my own book of business. I currently have everything in an excel and access database.
