Culture at Old, British, Well-established RE PE Shop

Hey All,

I accepted a job offer for an analyst position at a well-established real estate investment firm based out of London. They have offices all over the world, but I will be working from San Francisco. I would say the office dress code is somewhere between "Executive Attire" and "Traditional Business Attire."

No one I interviewed with has any facial hair. In the time since I interviewed, I've grown a neatly kept beard. I've also met with my new manager in the time since I was offered the position, and he didn't seem to mind my beard.

That said, I want to know if any of you have 1.) have any general comments on British Finance Culture; and 2.) Any comments on junior guys having beards in finance.

Thanks in advance.
