Deal team receive % of equity fees? What’s market?
Work for an LP on a three person deal team. We’ve heard it’s market to get a % of the equity fee from each deal. Anyone willing to share their % or what they believe is market?
I'd be curious as well since I am on the LP side and have never seen this. I've seen LP's get a piece of the acq. fee, 50-100bps (of purchase price), but have not heard of that going directly to the deal team as compensation, usually goes back to the LP fund investors to boost current return.
To clarify, this is an equity fee on JV developments.
