Hey All - Have an offer from a $3B debt fund. What are the chances of moving from the debt side to equity after a few years time?
Thanks!

What market? What debt strategies? Do they Also have an equity fund at the firm?
Hey - They support the entire Capital stack and all debt strategies focused on the Southeast. While they also have a equity fund it is in a single asset class while their debt fund is across all asset classes. Hope this gives some greater context.
Tough to still discern with debt fund it is. If it provides senior floating rate debt and mezzanine investment opportunities, it’s solid as you haha to believe in / buy into the biz plan. Creates a similar skillet to the equity guys. Sharpen your tools there for a year or two and then pivot to equity at another shop.
If I had the shop name, I could provide targeted info / advice!
Yes. You can always move from debt to equity. While some people will tell you that you cannot, plenty of people do it. It’s the same job. Just different part of the capital stack.
