They are one of the largest real estate investment managers, a true household name, they are in the league with PGIM, Nuveen, Invesco, Clarion, CBRE Global Investors, LaSalle, etc. Would be an excellent SA gig and great for the resume.

AEW is real estate only focused investment manager, the others are more diversified with traditional private equity. Blackstone and Brookfield are substantially larger than AEW in terms of real estate AUM, but bigger than Starwood.
