Does anyone have any information on DLJ Real Estate? They were the RE PE arm of Credit Suisse that was spun out a few years ago. My friend in Chicago told me that they may be recruiting a few analysts in the NY and LA offices. Does anyone have any perspective on the firm and culture? That same friend mentioned that there are fundraising issues... Thanks!
A great shop I'd highly recommend. You'll get a ton of exposure with all product types and you'll have groups bringing you off market deals to partner/jv. I don't know anything about comp, but I've worked with their la guys a bit and it seems like they do very well. I don't think you'd be disappointed. I have not heard much noise from them lately so they must be ramping up. Wish I could be of more help.

I'm looking into a 1st yr analyst position in the Real Estate Capital Partners group within DLJ Merchant Banking which is actually housed in Credit Suisse's Alternative Investments division. Can anyone please give me info regarding pay, prestige, exit ops compared to BB IBD positions?
