Dwight Mortgage Trust
Wondering what the reputation behind Dwight Mortgage Trust is like. I see they recently laid off a pedofile last summer so there’s that but would love to hear thoughts (pedofile related or not).
I know they have always messing around with that Bridge to HUD stuff. Not sure if they were involved in the scandals, or kept it clean.

Look back I think a bit after that lay off there was a realdeal article and a thread regarding them not too long ago prob 4-6 months ago

I know someone who used to work there and have interviewed there as well. Generally speaking have heard the culture is rough. Lot of screaming in the office and micromanagement. They’re a one trick pony with the HUD business. Senior management seems to have shown no real interest in changing the culture and seems to be content with generally just churning through junior staff.
You'd be better off selling knives door to door, avoid.

I signed up for the DMT investor letter updates as a joke to troll a guy I knew who worked there. The vehicle’s collateral is 70% ltv. AT ORIGINATION. For originations A few years ago. All bridge loans on shitty multi in a fair amount of tertiary markets. Due in 1-2 years. Not viable unless rates come down dramatically.
Anyone know anything else about them?
Did they put up a posting recently? I happen to see one back in the fall and then i used the search bar (not a troll). Didn't find good news about this co. I guess it's pretty timely with bonuses that have gone out/soon to come out
