Eagle Rock Properties reputation
What's the reputation of this shop in the multifamily space? I recently got an opportunity to intern their while pursuing a masters in real estate, how would this compare to say a REIT in terms of comp.
It’s an internship, you should not be worried about comp (just that there is comp). You want to take the opportunity that’ll 1) Look good on resume and 2) Teach you the most.
I know the acq people at Eagle Rock, so if you’re on that team you’ll learn a lot. They are really resourceful to win deals and know their markets very well. They are a growing platform and have discretionary money, which bodes well for seeing live transactions while you intern. Sure there’s bigger name shops, but it’s definitely a good opportunity.
